Welcome to A&T Equestrian!

Cultivating the next generation of riders in Cloverdale, BC for over 20 years.

We are proud to be a family-owned and operated facility located in Cloverdale, BC for over 20 years.

We offer a variety of programs for all ages and experience levels.

From introductory lessons for children and adults, to birthday parties, to advanced coaching for the seasoned equestrian, we have something for everyone.

As we continue to welcome new students to our barn family, it is important that we outline some of our policies that may have gotten missed when you signed up.  We have had to implement some new policies and changes for our barn.

Cancellations:

  1. Cancelations of lessons, we need 48 hours notice in order to offer a make-up lesson.

  2. Make up lessons, must be booked within two weeks of the cancellation, unless you are out of town.

  3. For cancelling lessons due to weather - we will post on our social media channels and emailing everyone as opposed to calling individually. As you can imagine it takes a lot of time and resources to connect with each student. Please either follow us on Facebook or Instagram to see all our current events and status.

Payments:

  1. Payment of lessons- upon registering for lessons, payment is required up front. We also need a current credit card on file.

  2. Lessons will be billed at the start of the month and payment taken with the credit card on file. If you wish to be on our e transfer program - you must still have a card on file with us. We will still bill you at the beginning of the month.  Or on your monthly cycle.

  3. Giving up your lesson spot- (or taking a break from lessons) - you need to email the office 30 days notice, to cancel your registration with us. This will mean that you will no longer have your lesson time and day.

  4. With students who have purchased the four-lesson introductory package – we will connect with you after the third lesson for confirmation of the rider moving to the next level of equitation before we reregister you.

Arriving Early:

  1. For ages 7 and up - after you or your child have finished their first four lessons it is expected that they are at the barn early enough to lead their horse into the barn, then groom and tack them (we suggest at least 15 mins early). We will have staff in the barns from 8am-2pm, and 3:30-close to help assist you.

  2. Once you or your child is ready to learn to canter and start to jump, they will need a proper helmet and gear (as outlined in our waiver). With our new system that we are launching you will receive reports on your child's progress. This will help you to gage their equipment needs.

Thank you so much for making A&T all that it can be. And we appreciate all your help as we continue to operate this business in our 25th year!

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to wear to ride?

When you first start, all you need is a well-fitting helmet, (a bike helmet works great!) closed-toe shoes, and a pair of gloves. Later on, we recommend that you invest in breeches, riding boots, and a proper riding helmet. We love to recommend Greenhawk Equestrian Sport as they offer a package option to get everything you need at an affordable price.

Do you have an indoor arena for the winter months?

YES! We have fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities available all year round. Our indoor arena helps keep you warm and dry throughout the winter months, and our beautiful outdoor arena allows riders to enjoy the sunshine when we get a break from the West Coast weather!

What age can you start riding?

We offer fun, engaging lessons for horse lovers of all ages, starting at 3 years and up!

For the 3-6 year olds, we have our parent and tot classes. For kids who are 7 years and older, we offer our signature introductory lessons. For more information about both of these programs, please click HERE!

Do you sell gift cards?

YES - we have gift cards of all denominations available for purchase online HERE, and in the office at our facility.

Gift cards are redeemable for any of our lesson programs, events, or merchandise, so you can give the gift of horse to the equine lovers in your life.

Do you offer lessons for adults?

YES! We are proud to share that we offer many programs specifically tailored to our adult riders. There is no age limit to loving horses, and we are thrilled that we get to introduce brand new riders to the sport, as well as work with experienced horse lovers! Learn more about our weekly lessons for adults HERE!

What is your refund policy?

As we are a small business, all purchases are final sale and we do not offer refunds at this time. We do, however, recognize that life happens and sometimes plans and availability change. We are super flexible on transferring credit from one program to another, switching camp dates, or however else we can help you use the value of your purchase on another one of our fantastic services!
